Default lowbeams

The lowbeams on my '92 LX are intermittent. The fuses are ok, andthe lowbeamswork, but often they do not. Does anyone have experience with this fault. I have seen posts where others have asked the same or similar questions, but they only receive questions in reply. I suspect the combination headlight/dimmer switch on the column. Does anyone have detailed instructions, liked I've seen in other forums long ago, on how to replace this part.

I would suspect the relay. If you can locate it try tapping it lightly with the plastic end of a screwdriver, you may get it to act up. Another option would be the wiring. Since both low beams are acting up that would eliminate the bulbs as a culprit. Look in a Haynes (or similar) to locate wherethe relayis in your vehicle.

I will search for the relay. This item seems to be blamed so often, for so many electrical problems. thx
