Default LX or DX?

Hey guys, so I have a question relating to the trim levels. My 96 LX has no power windows or locks and came with 13" steel rims. Wouldn't this be a DX in Hondaspeak?

I have owned a DX and an LX. That does sound like a DX, but I'm no expert.

Even the VIN labels it as an LX :S

That's surprising. My brother has a 98 LX 4 door. Power windows, power locks came with his car.

The only thing I can think is that the lady who owned the car before me (single owner) ordered the car for the A/C and did a power option delete.

Either way its kind of unusual, which makes it that much cooler to me haha.

As long as you don't mind having to crank open your windows!

Sure sounds like a DX to me, especially with the manual windows and 13" steelies. I drove one equipped similarly (with A/C), and it was a DX.

FWIW, my '97 LX has power windows, locks, a/c, and came with the 14" steel wheels.

Are there any other VIN numbers on it? Like on the front or rear bumper? I think my rear bumper had a VIN tag on it. I think it is also listed inside the driver door jamb on a sticker.

Can you post the VIN by chance?

Sounds dumb, but maybe the car was in an accident, the air bags went off and then the dash had to be replaced due to the passenger air bag blowing. Maybe the shop used a dash from an LX. If the VINs between the dash and anything else on the car does not match, then I would assume an accident is to blame.
