I just had some maintenance work done on my 2002 Civic with 71,729 miles on it. They had a Fall Special at a shop, and they did this:
1) Transmission Fluid Change
2) Oil Change and Filter
3) Tune Up- Replaced four spark plugs
4) Antifreeze Change
5) Tire Rotation and 10 point check
They did this all for $132.95, using OEM antifreeze and transmission fluid.
This was the second transmission fluid change I've had, and the first tune up and antifreeze change.
I know the transmissions on the 2002 Civics were not the greatest, so should I get another Transmission Fluid Change in the future? At what mileage?
One guy told me I should get the Timing Belt changed- at what mileage should I get that done, and how much does that cost?
Is there anything else I should get done?

Sounds like you got a pretty decent deal for what you had done. I had my 05's timing belt changed at 100,000 miles. When they did the belt, they also did the water pump. I had it done at a local garage and it cost me just over $400.00 parts and labor. As far as the tranny fluid, when I change my oil, I also pull the plug on the end of the tranny. You can only drain about a quart of fluid when you do that, but doing it every 6-7000 miles gives me peace of mind and it's not hard to do. Good luck.

Thanks, Duane. I guess I'll wait for 100,000 miles to get the timing belt and water pump changed. I'm glad it's not as expensive as I thought it was. I think I was thinking of the timing chain.
