i have a 94 civic lx and i just bought the car and was told by a mechanic that my car needed a major tune up by about this time. my car now has 135 K on it.....my question is what is a major tune up? what parts am i going to need? and what are the best products (such as filters, fluids, etc.) that i am going to want to replace my old stuff with?

 

That would be plugs, rotor, distributor cap, fuel filter, ignition wires, air filter and cabin filter. Did I miss anything?

 

I have a 97 EX sedan. Do I have a cabin filter? If so, where is it?

 

the BEST thing you could probably do if your going to do all this maintenance stuff is get a haynes manul for your car and in the first couple pages it tells you what maintenance you need to do at when time and how many miles..it tells you how to do it and what to check for, you can do it all at once and then keep track of it from there
