Default Maybe buyin this civic?







I know the 18's are dumb! But i'm going to test drive this today. He wants 2,500 for it with the stock wheels on it. It's a dx.

I'm wanting to do a b series 5 speed motor swap (even though this one is an auto).

Is this a good buy?

197k Miles. And I'm not sure about running condition yet. I'm going to test drive it later today. He says I can take it out by myself. So we'll see what happens.

To much for what you are going to do to it.
Look around for a manual trans and look for a ex, this way you already have the Vtec wire there and you have disk on the rear.
Looking for a nice Ex will save you time and money in the long run.

I test drove it and it was great. And if I get it, I'll probably put a b18b in it. Non vtec. And the tiny disks in the back don't really matter to me, because i'd eventually do a big brake kit, or something similar that would replace all the brakes anyways. Thank you for the advice though.

I'm going to try to talk down the price though.

If it's really clean, no bad history, stock and runs straight, then I guess that's about right for the price. I would try to talk them down a bit. I might even shoot for $2k.

It is drums in the back... 99-00 si are the only usdm ek with discs.

Its super clean minus a couple dents. Runs great, i ran through everything on it. I'm not sure if i can get him down to $2k, but I'll try.
