Miami Turbo Civic
Whats up everybody. Ive got a 98 sohc t3 turbo civic on 10lbs. The motor was overheating before i dropped the turbo ( went high once and inadded water been fine after that) so i figured it was thermostat. So After removing the thermostat and adding a sealant it doesnt heat as much but still..White smoke out of the tail pipe and im adding water everytime i go out to be safe. It runs great and ill add some video soon.
Any advice or does Anyone recomend any shops? Ive gotten quotes for replacing the head gasket for 700 including parts and labor ( 5 day job he says )
Ive thought about dropping a new jap 1.5 motor which a shop told me is a regular when it comes to replacing motors.

...5 days?? This should be an afternoon project unless you have some crazy ghetto turbo setup that makes it difficult to service. If you run with a bad headgasket long enough your piston rings will be shot too. How's the oil consumption?

450CC INJECTORS WITH RESISTOR BOX
5 days because he's backed up. I've called a few people and I found someone else who can do it. I'm more worried about the block than anything else. I just finished paying for the inlaws tranny so this couldn't have come at a a worse time. Whatever well see I guess.
I check the oil and it looks good not watery or
Low. For now I'm driving it slow and filling up with water before I go.
