Default might be thinking about trading the mustang

... but not for the m3 I want. I found a boosted eg hatch about 10 miles away... the guy wants $3k or a trade, and he's willing to pay for a better car. Honestly, I don't know if he'd go for a mustang or not, I just saw the post on craigslist about 10 minutes ago.

Now, I know 98% of the members here are going to go z0mg civic! Trade for it! What I'm hoping for is that a few of the more mature, sensible (no offense to those with the z0mg civic! replys) will chime in.

So here's the thing. I have a perfectly good (albiet r-titled) 2001 v6 mustang with 63k on the clock. I know what issues the car has (it likes to idle at 400rpm if you do a cold start and don't hold the rpm's at 1k for a minute or so, and there's a slight vibration from the left front suspension). The mustang has given me no real driveability problems (though, like every car, it has its own attitude. And the mustang doesn't like work being done to it lol). I'd be trading for a boosted car in questionable condition, unknown mileage, with who knows what wrong with it. Not to mention the civic is literally almost a decade older than the mustang. Of course, my initial reaction is it's a t3/t4 boosted eg, and I want it. But I'm trying to look at it from a more mature "is it really worth it?" perspective.

Any insights? here's a link to the civic, unfortunately he didn't post pics; if I decide to trade, I'll be sure to get pics and check the car out in person.

I don't know about that one, keep looking for a better platform, that one isn't worth crap unless he tells the mileage and condition and who built it and how he went about it, not to mention it's interiorless.

yeah, the more I've been thinking about it, the less interested in it I become. Especially considering it's a boosted car, and let's face it... most people beat the s**t out of boosted cars. So yeah, I'm about 90% sure I won't even bother to contact the seller on this one.

(and I figured by the line "always open to trades" meant a trade was negotiable, preferably if a sol was involved, but I could be wrong)

First Impression: Car has an impressive, expensive mod list. Car is selling for $3k... Anyone who puts that much time, effort, and cash into a project car is not going to just up and sell it, taking a huge loss on parts, without GOOD reason.

Just my thoughts.
