Default Moved to the North East, winterizing tips

Hello everyone,

My '99 Civic LX and I just moved to Connecticut, and I need to know if there is anything special I should do to help keep it running during the winter.

I have lived in MD, which is slightly warmer than it is here in CT, so I already took care of the basics (checking tire pressure, anti-freeze, brakes).

I am also living right on the Long Island Sound, so if it gets windy or rains my car gets a layer of salt on it. Any special treatment to prevent damage from the sea salt??

My car:

'99 civic lx
109,800 miles
no modifications

Thanks

not much you can do to prevent salt on your car besides putting it away for the winter.

you can change your tires for some winter tires. not really sure what else to do since i don't get snow where i live.
