Default My Soon to be Mean Machine -green

B16A 1st Gen + tranny + Ecu - $1550
Peakboost Turbo kit - $2899
650 cc injectors - $325
Hondata system - $295
Davaj MT16 wheels - $682
Matte Black Paint job done by myself - $??? not sure yet.
body kit up to $500 budget
interior up to $500 budget..

I decided on the b16a instead of the b18c due to money restrictions. Also I'm gonna try and keep it a sleeper for a little while after I get the engine and turbo dropped into it. I enjoy messin with the little kids on the strip.

Any suggestions? please, input is always appreciated.

Sounds nice.
what type of hondata are you looking to get (s100, s200, s300)? Assuming by the price, you listed, s200?

You most likely will not be able to get a body kit, have it painted for less than $500 unless you find one already painted on like craigslist or something. IMO, body kits ruin the car. Take that $500 and put it elsewhere. Like a better intake manifold (skunk2 etc). Does the turbo kit include an intercooler, charge piping, etc? Who will tune it, b/c that's not free either. Unless you know how to. lol

If I saw a black matte painted civic, I doubt I would think it's stock.

yeah s200 datasystem.

i'm gonna look around at places to tune it for me.

also i was just planning on purchasing the engine and turbo kit and putting it into my car, then probably 3-6 months later doing the body and interior work on it. My car already has a sport suspension on it, so everything is pretty much ready for an engine swap.

yeah the turbo kit comes with everything one would want. says it adds 75-100hp safely to a stock motor, i think i'm gonna shoot for +100hp...

what i meant was buy the body kit for around $500... then paint it myself for around $500.. my stepdad actually, he's been doing professional body work on cars for years and years...

How did you get a hold of a S200?? They have been discontinued since Jan 08. You dont need 650cc injectors 450cc will be more than enough. If you live in Arizona which you most likely dont, SRD in Tempe is great with tuning Hondata. They will be tuning my B18B1 when I boost with a S100 (cause I cant seem to find a S200). What turbo kit are you going with? The reason Im asking is alot of people get Ebay kits, DONT! The turbo will fail very quickly.

The kit may do that, but can the motor handle that? I am speaking of your pistons, rods, bearings? I am just asking a few questions. You may already have that under control.

Nice. Sounds good, however, I would suggest sticking with a lip kit. That's my personal preference.

People sell used s200 kits all day on b20vtec.com, honda-tech's marketplace. You can get one for about $250 or so. (That's already installed in a p28 or another ecu that accepts Hondata) Check links below:

I was told that with a moderate amount of boost that the b16a should be ableto handle the stress..

I'm shocked I didn't think of this before... What year civic do you have? I am assuming you have an EF?

Also, what about exhaust, the stock piping most likely will not be able to get all the extra exhaust out fast enough. Have you looked into 3'' piping, you do not necessarily need 3'', however maybe 2.5''. Regardless, stock won't do very well.

That I didn't ask you what chassis you were running. Although, now I see an "89" in your name. I just don't pay attention to things like that. lol

That turbo kit is a good one a bit picey though. You could piece together your own for half that cost. Thats what I am doing for my B18. I also noticed that Peak Boost doesnt say what the specs on the turbo are. W ouldnit go much bigger than a .57 trim unless you are building a race car. Judging by the fact you are not building the motor I would say you are not. Most T3/T4 turbo kits like this come with .60 trim turbos, this is large for a street Civic. Will be laggy untill like 5K a .50-.55 will make boost at 2.5k-3k. The 1g and 2g Eclipse turbos are great for boosting Honda motors. Most t25 and t28 turdos are also great. All being .50-.57 trim turbos.
