Default New Car?

Do you guys think I should get a new car. Mine is a 99 Civic EX 2dr auto with 107000 miles. Only custom headlights.
Would I save money if I bought an SI and customized it. I want a manual and the B16 would be nice. If Ibought an SI should I look for one with fairly low miles.

You already have this one paid off. the si is faster but it wastes more gas and need premium. I say keep your car, and do the swap if you want more power

My vote would be to keep it! One of the things I have learned is that it is far cheaper to keep a paid for car running than paying a perpetual car note. If only I had learned this when I was in my 20s when I just HAD to have a new car every other year.

Ya it runs so great i would hate to get rid of it, but there are things I don't like about EX's. I also hate that it is an auto.

Well in that case, have you considered the cost of a JDM engine/transmission swap versus trying to sell yours and purchase another one? I have a 97 EX, but mine is a standard. I plan on running my Civic until the wheels fall off, getting new wheels, then running it until it dies I just hope that it doesn't die a premature death like my 2007 V6 6MT Accord did when some idiot unsuccessfully tried to turn left in front of me resulting in an offset head on collision and a total loss of my 11 month old car[:@]

i think you should ride that sucker till it cant go anymore. when it dies, get a new car. you'll be much more appreciative of it.

I think the big issue comes down to if you want a car payment (if you dont have one already) or possibly a bigger car payment if you currently have one now. A newer si would be sick for sure! But then again, you only have about 100,000 miles and if the car is in good shape and been taken care of then you could do the transmission swap to a manual, and also find out if a engine swap is feasible.
