I have been thinking of getting a civic 96 and up but I dont know much about honda give me a ford or chevy I know what to look for but I was wanting to know what motor to look for and setup I want something to set up a little but Im more into power then looks any help

 

More into power then looks well its called sleeper, means stock exterior but built up engine. 96-00, the 6th gen, youll find the D16y7 motor good for 106 hp nonvtec which is in the DX LX and CX, the EX has 127hp vtec same motor, the SI has a b16a putting out 160. I don know too much about the 7th and 8th but someone on here does.

Hondas are good for 200k plus easy. There is a ton of options for anything on the car you want to upgrade. Keep browsing the forums and get ideas and such. Welcome dude!

 

You want to find something with a bseries motor...the top endis much better...an Si might be the best way to go or if you can find something pre 2000 with a bseries swap...the SOHC is good too if you plan to go turbo but it wont be that fast until you do and you kind of limited still....try to stick with the DOHC
