New Civic Wannabe Owner
Hey all,
I'm about to sell my galant and after that I'm really looking for something reliable. of course I hit on civic. civic ex coupe to be exact. There's just one problem. I would reeeeeealy really like to hook it up with a body kit, fenders and all. However, I don't know if this is a good idea in Brooklyn b/c of the potholes. If you put on a black widow kit lets say, don't lower the car, is that too low for potholed streets? How about driving in bumpy, icy snow? I just want to be able to drive at moderate speed without the car falling apart, or be able to get up on a ramp to get gas without scraping everything. If I don't lower a civic and put a black widow on, do I have enough clearance? Or should I forget about a body kit? I reealy wanted one. any help would be appreciated. Im looking to get this car in the next 4, 5 days. Thanks!

iv had a neon with a kit, and i live in maine, it is a nusance... but not imposible, i knocked it on a ice chunk once and it fliped under the car. but never ruined it. with the civic iv desided agenst any body kit stuff. id rather ride low and get some performance out of it.

HOOOLY CANOLI, after being on this site for a bit Ive realized that also...in fact, i Hate body kits! I can't believe I was about to do get one just now! So I hear that lips, polyureethane lips, are better than kits. I want to get lips but where do I get them from? Will they not lower my car? I was hoping for any option that would make my car look awesome and I had figured that body kit was the only way to go. However, I was worried about the drop in height and the problem with potholes and all. Well now im not going to get a body kit! so now im looking for lips, what looks good? should i still get fenders and a rear bumper lip also? a whole new world for me and ive still got 4 days to get one!!

I've been looking around at real cars and i really like the lips actually. The body kits look so boxy, the lips give it that awesome look without going overboard and they look AWESOME with wheels and a spoiler? forgetabout it
