I love my manuals but for a DD in NYC I wouldnt even consider one. traffic sucks

you can put mods on just about any car, you don't have to be a honda owner in order to do this. your father is probably right about the clutch, and why are you worried about top speed? if your in stop and go traffic all the time going fast should be the last thing on your mind!! good luck either way!

 

Are you actually in the city? How much rush hour traffic would you see? I personally think you should get a stick anyway, it's not that much more work. My wife bought a manual civic and didn't have a clue how to drive it, a couple short lessons (maybe 2 days) and she was driving like a pro (well, like a pro drove before they were a pro, but you get the idea).

 

The first time i drove manual was when leaving out of the dealership. So its not too hard, and you will get the hang of it pretty fast

 

auto civic's are ok 2 have.i have one and its ok.i gotta a air intake and a few other things and its ok..for 4000,ur lookin at gettin a older civic.look on autotrader mag or private sells.

 

after owning my standard i hate auto
