New guy to the honda scene

well, like Hobo said, start a thread in the project section with all the info and we can help out with a direction... in they thread, list you car and engine, any current mods, budget and something you havnt given us... what is you power goal.... a goal of like 250HP would be way different then say 400HP (random number, dont know what the K motors are capable of). and also is this goign to be a daily driver? given you age, i would bet yes, so i wouldnt set your power goal too high, definatly since you probally havnt been driving too long.

Yeah so do. I'm calling around town to see if I can find someone to install it. Idk much about hondas. The last car I modded was a focus and I help with my buddy's 2011 mustang. But have never done FI. Oh and to answer an earlier question about numbers. I wanna shoot for like 16 psi but is that safe for the engine. And what kinda numbers should I be expecting

I'd say shoot for high 200s and low 300s for HP. and if you don't care to much about gas guzzlers and shorter lasting engine.. Go ahead with the higher PSI's. I'd say you pretty much know what to do as a start. But when you're getting into turbo's and stuff, make sure your car is TUNED CORRECTLY and INSTALLED PROPERLY. If you have a friend that's a car enthusiast and knows his engine, awesome! But if you don't, be willing to pay more for quality installation and ask around for tips on building. Seen way to many people building their cars the wrong way and getting only a couple numbers of HP when they could get way more.

Yeah that's why I joined here. I know my way around mustang and focus engines as I've been dabbling with cars since I was 15 but have only done cosmetics and intakes. I have never done FI. But like I say money is noy an issue so I'm gonna pay some one so it gets done right. I plan on using this as my auto cross car and my focus into my daily

you cant really go by PSI without knowing the size of the turbo... 16PSI on a small turbo isnt the same as a large one....Its not really the boost that kills engines, its the power created... so again, pick a HP goal and we can help from there... this is the area where i dont know much about on your engine... i know the d16s can handle 220ish before you start bending rods and other nasty things.

god. that really sucks. didn't think d16's were THAT weak. 220 before maximum potential and still can't keep up with most stock cars nowadays. haha

keep in mind that the d16s arnt that high powered to begin with, My d16z6 only puts out 124HP stock... so i can add 100HP with out going for stronger rods and other beefier interinals... swap though out and you can pull 400-500 if you have the money
