new help please
hey guys im only 16 and just bought a 94 civic dx 5 speed. d15b7. i believe the piston rings are messed up, but i dont really think it is worth it to fix all that. the engine has almost 300000 on it. id rather just do a swap, but if i do id like to put like a b16 in... any ideas? what would work? what all would i need to do it? thank you for all the help..

wat are your plans for the B16? there are sites that sell the full swap. everything u need. motor, tranny, ecu, axles, all wire harnesses, motor mounts for that motor, thats all i can remember on wat u need for a swap... any one wanna help? lol

if i were u... i'd put a D16z6 if your on a budget. cheap to fix up too and its the best SOHC motor u can get. the whole swap can cost u from $600-$900. they're on the 92-95 civic ex or si...

well since u already have a d-series motor u pretty much have everything. all u need and should get is the motor, ecu and wire harness for the vtec if ur motor isn't vtec. i'm not sure right now i'd have to check to see if your motor has vtec. if it does, you pretty much have an easy swap to do... anyone correct me if i'm wrong but i'm 90% sure your axles, tranny, and motor mounts should fit into a d16z6. but i recommend to get a tranny that comes with the d16z6... its better IMO. i have a 95 civic ex and comes with that motor and trust me... they're fun... hopefully trustdestruction jumps in cause he knows his **** and he has a del sol with a d16z6.

yea dudde it'll be easy.
since you already have a d series motor its a super easy swap,
if you want to do a b seriers swap plan on saving up about $2000
and that'll come with
motor
tranny
axcles
ecu
the harness
distributor cap
and everything else
if your engine is going outand you need one fast
i would go with the d16b
its a jdm engine
and correct me if i am wrong but i think its the japanies motor same as the z6
and all you will have to do is take out your engine disconect everything thing all the hoses, all the vacume lines the wire connections and then take onn your manifold then put it on the jdm motor. then drop it in your car.
i had a d16y8
and i bought a d15b for 800.
but people say thats too much so shop around and wait till you find the right engine,
the d15b you can get for like 500
and the
d16b for like 800-900
here are the specs for the d15b
