Default New kid on the block!

Hey guys about a week ago I managed to grab a 2012 Civic SI with 30k on it and I'm looking to tune and add some more power to it. I'm picking up some stock Evo 8 wheels for it either this weekend or next week and I'm planning on getting coilovers shortly after. What are everyone's thoughts on a Hondata tune with it just having a throttle body spacer and injen cold air intake? (I plan on going to a k&n or skunk2 intake, the last owner's intake touches the shift linkage, thoughts?) Thanks a bunch guys!

It's a dead forum buddy. sorry to break it to you. I still love this place, which is why I still visit every so often. If you take a look at the forum, you will hardly see any activity and it is unfortunate.

I wish I could give you advice, but i have almost no knowledge of the newer civics. Newest Civic I have ever owned was a 99.

Generally speaking, Hondata (Kpro) is a good idea. Helps you maximize the gains from any mods. TB spacer from my experience is a waste of time. CAI is fine if you want to tinker with the car.

My advice to you is to sit down and figure out what you want out of the car before spending a dime. What are your power goals if you have any? was is your budget? Do you plan on doing all of the work on your own, or have shop(s) install the mods? If you eventually want to turbo, I wouldn't suggest wasting money on a CAI.

you want a oil free filter i only recommend AEM. personally i wouldn't bother with just a ecu upgrade there just to expensive for the gains you get out of it. what are they claiming for hp gains ???
