ya been looking on SD at others.... and well so far just stock looks with a front lip looks very nice! so ill definatly stick with stock body parts. only about 10hours and ill be loading it up on the trailer

DOWNFALL is the motor ive been expecting to buy..... musta sold... his listing is gone and my emails arent being delivered, keep geting failures that sucks BUT o well... looking more into a motor details now. like if i can use a NON Vtec motor and just swap on my Vtec head "IF" its in good shape! wont know until tear down of the motor thats in it! just gotta do more research and ask more questions!
guess ill just spend more money they i wanted to for the motor... gonna wait till riping the motor apart thats in it before i go shoping at local junk yards and AGAIN cross my fingers to find a good deal!

o well GOT the car home now and parked under a tree...
got looking at the car beter and now i can see the rod hanging out the front of the block right behind the header.LOL
so im HOPING the rod STUCK thier and didnt hit the head messing it up! I HOPE!!!!!
ill try pulling the head off later today or tomorow to inspect it. GOT FINGERS CROSSED!!!
hoping that its just a simple botom end failure and i can simply buy a cheaper D15 motor and reuse my vtec head so i wont have to change any wiring or computers...

after i pull the head of and see if its alright ill search some local junk yards for any rearended civics with good motors i could use!

well only thing i dont have experince in is the motor and trannys... which hopefully alls i need is a motor.

ill put the car back stock green color most likely next spring.... ill work on the body work during the winter quarter by quarter and just paint it with some dark primer...
paint doesnt look TO BAD but he didnt do the jams or anything and just taped up the glass not the rubber seals so ill have to try and use some paint striper to get them back black.... have al the window tint removed and redone but ill save that until after i get it painted...

needs new door pins, a few misc trim panels inside the car.
but so far only STUPID mod ive seen done to the car besides the crapy paint is the air/fuel gauge screwed to the dash guess i can just glue a radar detector ontop of the screw holes so hopefully wont look to bad. new heater controls... and hopefully no other suprises!

tho will have to buy new springs for it cause i THINK they are cut stock springs..... tho thats preaty minor....

luckely i got one guy now that MIGHT sell me the bottom end from another Z6 that he bought just for the head. so if all goes good he will sell me the botom end cheap
said he paid 275 for the whole motor minus wiring harness and the bottom pulley. so hopefully he will sell it for about 150-200bucks and as long as my head is still good that will be a good deal....

then spend another 100bucks for new timing belt and water pump..... headgaskets and new headbolts.... no clue how much those are tho. thought about geting ARP bolts BUT new oem bolts should be enough if i can buy them from the dealership...

The dust cover is straight forward to replace. The only problem I had, was the part I got the Advanced Auto wasn't right, and I had them check EVERY gen and model with NO luck. So, I had to get it from the dealership. To fix it, take off the wheel pop off the outer tie rod (ASK how if you've never replace a tie rod) and the alignment nut. Break the metal straps, remove and replace.

OK pictures up... kinda big ya ALITTLE... not to big id say...
but doesnt look like any of the valves hit the pistons so i think its fine.
WHAT YOU GUYS THINK? look fine?
if it wasnt for the thrown rod and big hole in the side of the block.LOL it would look like a nice motor. i guess he just ran the motor to hard.... tho from the air/fuel gauge and removal of AC makes me think that he PROBABLY had it boosted! but then again its just a MAYBE.....

o well.... but since the head looks good i think im good thier at least so now i just have to shop for a bottom end
will have to see how much this one guy wants for his z6 motor for cash plus my head.....
woops forgot to post pictures.LOL

and well either its cause the cars parked on alittle hill or those struts/springs are bad...LOL

AND HERE WAS THE PROBLEM

^^ That's such a tiny problem, I would have just waited for another rod to get thrown. Just a little breakage, it's still good, it's still good. lol

Again, great find!!

now help me find some stock springs, dirty cheap that is... hahahha
and well i tried to manualy turn the motor over with using the timing belt... and its gotta have the crank wedged tight! it wont bunge!!!!

but all and all.... is still a decent buy as is.... i think.. just need to find some misc parts for the interior... and bolt the seats down properly.LOL
it has some newer seats in it like my 99 ex BUT i can clearly see that the back inner brackets arent even bolted down
like its that hard to drill a hole and use a bolt and nut.LOL

and i cannt check the power accessoryes cause i dont know which fuse goes to the fuel pump.
