I am looking into getting a car that does not have power steering, and people on this site say that it gives you a better feel for the road. I have heard that no power steering is hard, but I have also heard that it is better.

the car I am picking up today!!! CAN"T WAIT! has no powersteering. It is a 2d hatch, so it's not as big as the sedan type, but once you are moving, and it doesn't take much speed, it is no problem to turn the wheel. it's pretty much when you are just sitting there, stopped, and who wants to turn the wheel then anyway and where the tread more? I love the non powersteering feel.

it wont hurt ur car so long as u modify the current steering rack to work without powersteering or u get a manual rack.

its a good idea to loop the lines in some fashion to keep fluid within the rack. if u dont want powersteering, might as well take all the lines, reservoir, belt, pulley, etc off and just loop the line. afterall the point is to loose some weight, gain a minute amount of power and get a little better feel out of the steering.
