o2 sensor help

Talking o2 sensor help

ok i had to buy a new o2 sensor because i could not get my other one out and i bought new headers so i need some help. i installed the then my o2 sensor came so i put it in started the car no problem no smoke no nothing but the check engine light came on wtf. i don't now if that was because the o2 witch i think it is. maybe it came on because if going to run out of gas because i don't drive the car and i don't put much gas in it i don't now. thanks for the help

Quick question, but do you have an ex/si? If not, and you put an ex/si header on the car, therein lies your problem; the dx/lx/cx/etc have the catalytic converter inside the header; the ex and si have the catalytic converter separate from the header. If you put an ex/si header on an non-ex/si car, it'll throw a P0420 - Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold since the rear O2S will read exactly the same as the front O2S, telling the PCM the nonexistent cat isn't working.
