Default Is this price fair for this car?

2003 Honda Civic - B&B Auto LLC Vauxhall , NJ Im 20 trying to get my first car i want it to be a civic, not trying to mod it or anything just want to know how much should i pay for a car like this one.

Well, for $6k plus taxes, you're going to get an 8yr old car that is getting close to needing some serious maintenance. Yes, there are many high mileage Hondas out there, but do you really want to take a chance? A roll of the dice could end up costing some serious cash, especially if you're not mechanically inclined. I would shop around a bit more.

IMO that's not to bad but i would try and get them down some, If it needs timing belt & water pump that could run over $300. alone. If it doesn't show they have been replaced it will need it asap cause Honda motors are interference motors, meaning if the timing belt breaks it could cause the valves to slap the pistons = new motor.
