Default Purchasing 2002 Civic EX from private seller

What would you pay for buying a 2002 Honda Civic EX 4-door sedan, 67,000 miles, single owner, well-maintained, one scratch on side of passenger door, Automatic transmission, FWD, power steering/windows/locks, keyless entry, CD player, cruise control, ABS, sun roof, front and side airbags, alarm system, snow tires with alloy wheels from a private buyer? Or where would you start the negotiating price? The seller is offering the vechile for $10k.

I got a '04 civic ex coup for 13k from a dealer with 50k miles. So that price is probably a bit high. Check kelly blue book though (http://kbb.com) and see what that says.
