hey wats up.. i live in florida to and i have a v2 cold air intake... i had a short before...i feel a big difference top end ..i just instelled it last night and i was three heads deep and the car still had some power...as far as the water situation ...2 things get a two piece intake that u can install the AEM bypass which will stop the intake from sucking in water or u can still get the one piece because in order to hydrolock it you must completely submerge the filter in water...

i live in florida too i actually live about 25 miles from u but it doesnt matte what intake u get really it doesnt what u have to consider is lately we been getting a LOT of rain and places have been flooded so if u live in a area where u dont get flooded than the intake doesnt matter btu if ur area got flooded than i recommend the short ram intake becasue as u knwo were a hurricane state and when it rains most areasdo get floodedandfor the past2-3 weeks now we have gotten at least2-3inches or rain per day this is the only week were we havnt got tht much rain. so it all depend on where u live in fortlauderdale. i can tell u thtOakland park, lauderhill, andlauderdalelake were so flooded tht my car couldnt even go there.

you have a very valid point but if he gets the 2piece and he's willing to disconect it whens theres foolding then i think it would be totally worth it...but if u really want it for sound get the short ram vtec pops beautifully
