Anyone know of a really good radar detector? and were i might be able to find it cheap? i really need 1 because cops = ... well you know

the passport ones are really good, but also really pricey...
radio shack has excellent deals on cobra detectors, and they are pretty decent also...

valentine are top shelf, but try radio shack first then like walmark and then the internet(ebay)

wow, this gets asked alot on here, i got a 40.00 one at walmart, that detects the cops radar b4 they get my car, i havent got pulled over speeding since april, when i got the thing!!!

I picked up a Cobra 9 series, it's sweet, has a nice range on it too, gives you plenty of time to slow down. Got it for like a 100.

i havent heard anything bad about cobra except the fact that they tend to malform in the heat...

youre supposed to take them off everytime youre not in your car, or else theyll get messed up.... Beltronics is good...

well ****, mine was in the heat to much, always forgot to take it out, and i just got a ticket today, 42 in a 25, i was in a hurry,(sick at my stomach) anyways, im glad he didnt get me at what i was doing about 1min b4 he clocked me...lol...


what im tryin to say is,(DONT LEAVE IT IN THE HEAT< ALWAYS TAKE IT OFF THE MOUNT AND STICK IT SOMEWHERE WHERE THE SUN WONT GET IT!!!)

yea the escort passport ones are very nice. best buy sells them. but if u dont wanna spend that much, go with a cobra one.

All good comments, especially about not leaving your detector on the dash when the car is parked. I think it's actually the case that deforms, not the electronics, but it will still screw you up.

From what I've read, and from what I've seen, Valentine will do the best for you in the fast lane. You also have to remember that LIDAR is out there, too.

Fly beneath the radar, if you can.
