it really sucks to live in a town where nobody knows how to do a motor swap. i will have to travel to the next state just to get it done. i basically have to try and do everything myself. I have no help!! this site is the only help that i have. thanks you guys!!!!!

how hard are motor swaps? are they just plug and play pretty much or do you have to do some tuning and whatnot?

 

Depends what car/motor combo you're trying to do. They can range from direct drop swaps to minor modifications (new engine mounts, axles, etc.) to do-it-yourself frame modifications (not recommended).

 

say a obd1 gsr into a 93 ex/si? how would it rate on a scale of 1-10

 

Oh, about a 3 or 4. It pretty much just involves motor mounts and, if I remember correctly, you have to put a dent in one of the cross-pieces to accomodate the alternator.

 

mine didnt need a dent. everything bolted in using a combination of stock honda parts. if i hadnt painted the bay, it would have taken two leisurely days.
