I have a 96 dx and was wondering if the windshield has a uv coating i checked google and searched here but cant find any info..... The reason i ask is i am getting new glasses with transitions lenses and they will not darken if there is a uv coating on you windshield and i am curious to see if they will function properly? Any one with transitions lenses on their glasses would know also

 

I am pretty sure all modern windsheilds have UV coating to protect the dash and other hard surfaces in your car.

that would explain why when I went to the junkyard today, all the cars with the windows intact and doors closed have little to no sun damage on interior parts, and all of the cars with broken windows or open doors have interior sun damage.
