thanks, addiction... I'm a little sad to see it go, too... but at the same time, I'm thinking "rwd"

I'm going to try to talk the kid into signing up here at HCF... he's already agreed to join the car club me and my friend started a few months back (Head Turner Autosports)

Anyway, I'm looking at another 240sx (the guy with the sr20det-swapped one hasn't replied to my email yet so I'm not sure he's going to)... the only thing is it has the stock sohc ka24 motor and I'm not sure how many miles are on it... linky

Edit: I just got a reply from the guy with the sr20-swapped 240.. it's still for sale ^.^

I'm going to see if I can't go take a look at the car this weekend

Of course I'm staying on hcf... besides, I'd like to start up an eg hatch project in a few years when I have some extra money.

And I'm still interested in the amp if I ever get some extra money here... I've been basically broke for the last few months between keeping gas in the car, buying parts for it, and my girlfriend.

Hopefully I'll have some money soon... I've been meaning to get a tattoo but I don't have money for that either [8D]

bump for an update on what's going on for those who care (I really don't feel like starting a new thread just for this):

Well, the kid that's supposed to be buying my civic is apparently talking to his parents about it; I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Also, that sr20-swapped 240 was sold out from under me (the guy never even let me know he sold it... I figured it out when he hadn't emailed me in over a week and I checked his CL posting... he took it down). The good news is I found a '91 240 for sale for $1800 (link)... unfortunately, it needs some work. But I figure if I get $3500 for my civic, plus a $500-something tax return, and a $600 stimulus check, I have plenty of money left to work with. Anyway, I'm hopefully going to check out the 240 this week, it's something like an hour away.

*edit: probably going to look at the 240 this weekend (sunday from the looks of it)

Okay, another little indecisive update: I think if I don't have any offers on the civic by next friday, I'll probably end up keeping the civic and swapping to a 5-speed. I figure I can pick up what I need for the swap for what, $500? There's two guys on craigslist selling civic motors/transmissions... one is a z6, and the other isn't specified (he just says 93 civic), but the 93 motor only has 41k miles on it (and it's $100 cheaper, but I don't think it comes with the ecu or axles)

and jp, you'll be happy to hear I'll be boosting my z6 if I keep it.

And a little explanation for why I might be keeping the civic: Thinking about it, having a boosted rwd car in the winter in PA will suck... I'll get stuck in half an inch of snow, not to mention it'll be really squirrely around turns. Having a boosted fwd will suck, but not nearly as bad. Also, I'm really impatient and by the time I sell my civic, the 240's I'm looking at will probably be sold.

And apparently, the guy with the sr20 240sx didn't sell it... he emailed me like two days ago saying he still has it. But I have a feeling it'll be sold by the time I sell my civic... I think I'll see if he'd want to do a trade (maybe I give him the civic, all parts for it, and like $500), but I kind of doubt he'd go for it.

okay, well it sounds like the guy with the 240 might be interested in trading (he had me send him pics of the civic)... I doubt he'll actually want to though, considering the civic's an automatic. But if he does want to trade, it'll make my f**kin' year lol

boosted 240sx ftmfw!!1!1!!2!x!
