Default Rear Defogger Radio Interference

I have an 05 Civic EX coupe that I purchased new. Recently, every time I turn on the rear window defogger when the radio is on, the radio volume decreases and the station fades in and out with a lot of static. Does anyone have any ideas where to start looking for the problem? I see in the wiring diagram that the radio and defogger share the same circuit. I definitely don't want to go to the dealer and end up paying a couple hundred bucks. Help, please.

Run a new power wire to a different keyed ignition source. Problem solved.

could be that if you have an aftermarket radio, it is wired wrong.

Radio is stock and I don't have any window tinting. It's the way it was when I bought it new in 05. Wondering if there's a ground wire that may be loose somewhere. I don't have a clue where to start troubleshooting this gremlin. I don't want to run a new radio power wire and start Bubba-fying this vehicle. Would like to find the problem.

If it's affecting AM radio, there could be a crack in one of the wires. Get a handheld radio. Turn on the defogger and move the radio along each line on the window, listening for where it gets noisiest. There are kits of conductive paint to repair the wires.
