I'll be damned
Honda Motor Co. recalled about 25,000 Civics on Thursday because the accelerator pedal was improperly installed on some 2006 models, which could cause a crash.

If the pedal is improperly installed, it could come loose, cause the throttle to stick and raise the potential for a crash. Honda spokesman Sage Marie said there have been no crashes or injuries linked to the issue in the popular-selling vehicle.

People shouldn't be driving if they can't deal with a sticking throttle. Just my 2 pennies worth.

I haven't gotten a recall letter yet, but I'm sure I will. Doesn't bother me at all, as long as they are taking care of it, big deal. I'll get it taken care of at my 1st oil change.

Yeah, fortunately, our guys at the shop have detected some on the brand new ones and have fixed it. We haven't had anyone come back and complain about it either. Sucks though. I also saw a brand new '06 sitting on the side of hwy 94 on Sunday.... Poor thing had it's flashers on and no body to occupy it. My guess is they ran out of gas.

^well, a bunch of people were saying that. I said don't buy one because my friend who works in quality management at Honda said there was something wrong with em.

Here ya are.

Who knows if this is even what he's talking about too...

So quality management isn't fixing known problems? I say thats BS. The '06 is an awsome car, and I have no regrets buying the 1st one. Anytime there is a major change, fans of the old cars have negative things to say. I would not have even considered a Civic if it weren't for the '06's. I keep getting the same comments from people..."That's a Civic!?, WOW"
