Default Remote Starters on a Manual?

So, I'm thinking about getting a remote starter for my Manual transmission civic. I usually leave the car in gear. I'm curious to hear opinions on this. On the Honda website, they list accessories, but they specify that it is NOT for use on manual transmissions. Thoughts?

Obviously you can't let the remote start with the car in gear. The car would drive off by itself and crash into something. There is not a real reliable way for any remote starter to detect that a manual car is in gear and refuse to start it. Thus they should not be installed on manuals.
