The trick is to get a smaller sidewall on your tires to try to come as close to the factory diameter of the tire as possible. Get what I mean?

to a extent Im not sure what my current tire size is but I think I understand when I get rims Ill ask and double check to make sure Im close

In other words, as long as the overall diameter of the tire is the same or very close it won't affect your speedometer significantly.

Checking out some MR2 wheels

they are a little wider in the back is that going to make a difference?

Back wider then front that is
