new weatherstripping, caulk if you really think its necesarry, and do you ahve aftermarket taillgihts? My old altezzas used to fill up with water, and then when i would open my drunk all the water would dump out of hte back of them and go all over my sh*t. soooo annoying [:@]just another reason to stick with stock tails.

In all honesty, '97 was 10 years ago, i wouldnt doubt if hte weather stripping was bad by now.

I have the same problem man....but only when I go through the car wash. It can rain and the trunk never leaks, it's just when going through the car wash. I folded the back seats down and had my buddy lay into the trunk when I went through the car wash and it was running in just like a freaking waterfall right by the back window.

Skateman, just make sure that you use clear silicone.

good way to check is to go to a car wash and use some pressure on it.. have one guy in the trunk with a light, one outside.

this is what i did on my EF sedan that leaked. it ended up being from the tailights ( just siliconed around them a lil) and that backup light bar across the back. there was 1 other small place but i dont remember where.. so far no more leaks
