short shifter?
So I got a new car, a Del Sol Si, and I let my friend test drive it because he kinda wants one too, and he mentioned that he thinks it has a short shifter already. How do I tell whether or not it has one?
Because if it's not a short shifter I definitely want to get one, I mean I can shift it pretty fast pretty easily, but if it's not a short shifter i'd like to buy one so I can shift it even faster, you know?

RE: short shifter?
i have to move my whole hand, but not really that much. but it has a black shaft, and because of this and moving my whole hand, i guess it's stock. but it's all good, because that just means that i need to buy a short shifter and my shifting will get even faster, which is good to know.

RE: short shifter?
what do you guys recommend for one? I want to buy the least expensive quality short shifter. Like, not eBay junk (i heard they break), but say there's 5 different brands of shifters and one's less than the rest but pretty much just as good - that's what i'm looking for.

RE: short shifter?
i think a picture would help us a lot. The thing that really matters is the distance between the shifters rotation/pivot point and where the linkage meets up, but that's only viewable from under the car. You could defnitely tell if you could drive another car thats the same as yours, only stock, but that might be hard to come across.
