Default an si mod for my EX

I just bought a 97 civic ex, and im trying to get it faster, and look more sporty/nicer. He had Si front a rear bumpers on it to begin with. I bought a full Skunk2 Exhaust (i just need some headers, any sugestions?). Someone also told me that the AEM V2 Cold Air Intae is good. Any coments on that.
But, upon purchasing the EX, the guy i bought it from has the a part from a civic si (the part where the controls for the heater,AC, emergencies, and etc are), do i need any electrical mods for that, or can i just plug them in?

you will need to mod your dash for tyhe whole thing to fit. The 96-98 civic's have a different center dash peice than a 99/00 civic. The SI gets nothing special on the interior other than different print on the seat fabric and a different gauge cluster. The rest of the SI inside wise is like any other 2 soor 99/00 civic.

It's not the whole dash, its just the part where my deck and climate controls are. the trouble isnt fitting it, it's the same size (I think, it looks like it is the same size), just with differnet gauge controls for the car (***** and ****), I'm just not sure if there is any electrical differences.

pretty sure the climate control is different -- electrical vs. mechanical. I don't know if you can convert it

Hey guys I'm new. I was wondering if anyone has ever found out if the 99-00 center part of the dash will fit a 96-98? I'd really like to update my 96 to the 99-00 dash (vents, audio and climate controls). This is the first thread that popped up when I seached. I'll keep looking but thought I'd add to this thread instead of making a new one.

it'll fit, but you have to swap out the entire hvac unit inside the dash due to the 99-00 units using electric controls for the air temp mixture where as the 96-98 have a physical linkage connected to the slider.
