Default Some opinions? I知 a newbie here

Hello guys just made an account to hear some opinions from y誕ll before I do something dumb. I知 new to Honda I currently drive a 97 ES300 and I really want to turbo something and Honda is probably the easiest. I did try however finding a supercharger for my Lexus but it痴 super rare so I知 just giving up the search. Anyways I came across this 1999 Civic LX that痴 around 1k close to 2k. Really clean I don稚 know about the miles but I値l ask later to see. But it痴 an automatic. So that痴 why I知 asking because I mean you can turbo anything I知 just not sure if the automatic tranny can handle it, from what I致e been told and heard. So that痴 my question if it痴 worth the build for the 99 LX. I really want a hatchback but those are hard to come by. Anyways I just want to hear from y誕ll since I知 new to Honda, thanks!

The auto trans as it is now will not last long with extra power added from the motor. Find a manual

Huh? I wasn't commenting on a 2008 motor. I know nothing about the R18 engines and their transmissions other than block cracking and failing and the paint issues those cars have. If you are asking if you can install your 2008 auto trans into the 1999 with a D16 motor, it's not a direct swap, but anything can be done depending on how deep your pockets are.
