Default Spare Tire PSI

Was wondering what is the proper/best PSI for the emergency spare tire in my 06 Civic. It says 60psi on the tire but that seems like alot for such a small tire. Its tubeless and currently has 30 PSI? Thanks for the help.

60 psi.

Compared to a standard tire, there are fewer square inches of that small tire touching the road. So it takes more pounds per square inch air pressure to hold up the weight of the car.

but remember spare tires have a shelf life just like any other rubber tire there rated for 5 years. i completely removed my spare to cut down on weight. i replaced the tire with a small repair kit and a bottle of tire slime.
