Sounds like the K20 would be everything you'd want.

but to answer the question..well, part. its called a b18, with a letter and or number after which represents what it came out of....but i would just do a b18c1 swap (integra GSR swap) with the matching tranny, which should come with it..same with the b18...thats why i dont know what the tranny code is...

Im mostly looking for older engines that dont cost more than 3500 dollar, used engines ofcourse. Im buying a civic anywhere from 92-98 hopefully totally disaster piece so i can get it really cheap and swap all broken parts for tuningparts. counted in dollar id say ive got about 8000 to spend.
I just need to begin then i can get my hands on more cash but i think this should be enough for a start. that engine list u gave me were only newer ones from 2002 and above. id say i want one a little bit older im having trouble finding a 1,6 vtec so its not even worth to try to find a 2,0 =P.

With 8k I would find a CX hatch and order a B18C1 (GSR) swap. That's a sweet ride.

A K20 is like 5k, so you might be able to squeeze that out.

yeah i know 8k aint that much thats why i want an older one. but if a k20 would turn up at the car-demolish-place whatever its called i might get it alot cheaper than 5k. anyways a 1,6 would make me satisfied. b18c1 ? im lost when it comes to civic engines my interest in them began yesterday but im eager to learn more about them so if you could give me a more specific explaination of what that is id be pleased. =]

1.6 liter engine is the b16a2 engine. It comes in 99-2000 civic si engines, and its double over head cams

and...the D16..which for racing, wont leave you satisfied unless you build the hell out of it..and or boost it. b18c1 is not a civic engine..it comes from honda/acura integras...i will sell you my 98 DX for 8 grand if you have the cash right now.
