Default Stolen rims&tires

I had my summer rims and tires from my 2009 civic coupe stolen from my garage where I was storing them while I had the winter tires on the car. The local Honda dealer quotes replacement as $2765. The house insurance calls them "spare auto parts" with a limit of $1000; the auto insurance (same company) will cover them not at replacement cost but 'actual value', as they are used- $900. I think I am about to be screwed, but I cannot help thinking that I am not unique in having summer wheels stolen from the house.
What are stock 2009 civic coupe alloy rims and tires with 8000 kms worth?

Interesting the auto insurance would cover then at all since they weren't attached to the car at the time. I would go that route, do not file home insurance claims for small amounts.

Anyway without paying more for special coverage, any insurance is just going to give you actual cash value (enough to buy used) not replace them with new. Your insurance company ought to show you were this supposed $900 set of used ones are. I would assume they were in near perfect condition since they were only one year old and not used in the winter time.

for 900$ you can buy a new set of aftermarket rims for your civic.

What these guys said, take your $900.00 and get a nice used set of Ray's or Volk set.
I have a set of 08 Si rims on my hatch, even though they look nice, these guys are super heavy, go aftermarket and go light, you will see a diff in your car.
And next time, take better care of you stuff, there are a lot of haters out there who dont give 2 $#!+ about you and your ride.

Oh, your stock 09 rims are worth about 900, but its not worth it.
