some people just like the stock look of the honda tail lights. the reason people upgrade the headlights to projectors or halos is because they are brighter than the stock headlights. the tail lights are just prefrece to what you like.

 

most people agree that they look like crap. They might also be illegal too.

 

dammit.

i have aftermarket tail lights, im pretty sure that they are legal. Plus i have a neon light that is around my licence plate that is illegal and i got pulled over for it but they didnt say anything about the tail lights, i dont know of any reason why they would be if they are fully functionable.

 

best thing to do is go to an event that has cops at it and ask them dude. Then you will know what is illegal and what is not. and I think stockers do not look to bad.

 

hey don't come to va then. i was pulled over last july for having too dark of tint even though you could see through it and taillights that had the amber lens also.

 

just look for DoT approval on tails..i have a hatch so not the same as coupe/sedan tails but mine are DoT approved..

 

ALot of the Aftermarket tails actually have the dot stamp. Here in ny I had altezzas on my accord (I'll admit I went through a small ricer phase) and never got pulled over for them. I have red/clears on the civic now and my blinker is clear (used original bulbs) normal blinker bulbs are amber. I've never had a problem with either. Just look for the dot stamp and you should be fine.

and the ones im planning to buy are the ANZO european black tail lights w/ halo.
