Are they stripped real bad? Tap and dye set would solve the problem.

it just keeps turning and turning.... it will start to get tight and then go loose real fast! i thought something was up when i took the plug off and there was a piece of metal that looked like a spring right at the edge... i've never used a tap and dye... how does it work? would i have to get a larger plug?

ebay........ would be your cheapest bet...
but if ya need the bolt in thier ASAP and your GONNA SWAP out the pan... just get some epoxy, mix it up and push some of it into the bolt hole threads then more on the bolt and just snug the bolt the best ya can and wait until the epoxy is dry before puting any oil in it..... should be fine till ya replace the oil pan.... but it will be trashed then.

We just used one today to straighten out some jacked up threads. Now I'm not sure if this will work for you.

It doesnt look that hard to swap out. Only like 10 bolts or somthing.

I would be sooooooooo pissed if I was you. A $20 oil change with a $100 mistake.[:@]
