Oh and I've heard(this information is hearsay, so don't quote me on this) the R stands for Racing. It could have just been made up, but sounds good.

 

Wrong, the SiR in Canada is exactly the same as the Si in the states. There the Ex is called Si there also. In Japan is a different story.

 

So it appears to me that Canada just totally got the shaft.

 

well, not really. they got the siR, which i believe actually came withthe jdm version of a b16a, rated at 168hp, over our 160 in the US SI.
