With one of these...

I have also heard of putting a flat head in the teeth of the fly weeel or putting the donut spare on and letting it off the jackstand.

You have got to explain that one a bit better for me. I have been trying to figure out what you meant, but I can't.

A good impact gun will take it off. Make sure it is set to turn the bolt counterclockwise, it is standard right hand thread.

If you're turning it manually and its a manual transmission, shift into 5 and prevent both front wheels from turning. The right wheel is usually on the ground anyway, you can put a tire on the left and set it back on the ground. Though it would be much easier to just jam a screwdriver in the slots of the brake rotor so the rotor can't turn.

I had my wife stand on the brake pedal and hit it with an electric impact, worked like a charm
