i have a 93 civic ex and i am thinking about swaping out the d16 for an h23a1 does anyone know how much work is involved in this and how much it will help my car in the horse power area right now it is a stock h23 w/a dc header and a short ram intake

plans for it include skunk 2 valves, light weight cam gears, new performance cams, kinda kicked around h22 pistons but not sure, and i would love to boost it only one problem i don't know what kind of performance upgrades are available for the h23 as opposed to the h22 if anyone knows any good sites or anything it would be greatly appreciated

 

Why are you doing an h23 instead of an h22?

 

i found a guy who is selling an h23 w/a 433 final drive trans. and ecu for $600 i found another guy who is selling an h23 block for 75 that i may buy and put a h22 head on it is the swap hard to do though

 

If you go upgrade to an H22 head then all the performance parts you want would work.
