ok im still getting my grip with all this honda stuff!! Im slowly learning about my car and the the process in how vtec works and what not!! But i seek more knowledge... Now my car is running a type r gear box, throttle body, intake manifold and cams! Teach me about type r, i understand u can purchase type r civics in japan where as they were never released in australia. I have a vtec b16a engine.... What is the most probable car you think i have got this engine from and what years was the engine manufactured. I think it started in 1989 where honda was aiming to get 100hp per lt or something like that. Anyway all i want is some information, tell me what you honda ppl know! Help me with my thirst for knowledge......

JDM B16A 2nd it's from a 92-95 SiR
JDM B16A 3rd it's from a 96-00 SiR

Does the block stamp only say B16A?

My personal experiance is that the best way to learn about Civics is to hang around here. I can't tell you how much stuff ive learned at this forum. And if your in high school (like i am) take auto shop if you can, its a good way to learn about cars in general.

 

I took auto in high school, only thing that i learned was that i takes a hell of a long time to grind a canoe trailer, and that it taks 24 classes to skip before the teacher catches you leaving school in the cafeteria.(teacher was an *******, he wanted everyone to know everything inside and out before you went in the class)
