ok to answer one question....i shifted into fourth cause i topped out 3rd at 90.

ok a 94 vtec engine has square connections, the ones on my stock harness are round.
i couldn't use the vtec injectors cause the plugs were different. couldnt use my old 1.6 injectors with the vtec fuel rail. the 2.0 injectors happend by mistake cause they fit in the fuel rail and the plugs where the same as my stock harness.
now i run into a problem with my distributor...the motor i got didnt come with one. so now i have to use the one off my old engine. ok no big deal. yeah right. i had to remove the valve cover and put the top part of the collar that the distributor goes into from the old engine. ok now my valve cover doesnt sit right cause the collar from the old engine it taller than the one from the vtec engine so i modifyed the valve cover as needed. ok now i can only get on bolt in to hold my distributor on (im like whatever at thiss piont in time)

but i got her all together and she moves pretty good for what it is and how its running. it surprises a lot of people. there was a few other issues along the way but its good now. it gets some good 2nds and a little bit of 3rd if i get the shifts perfect. now also lets remember the my car has no a/c and no p/s just an altenator and water pump thats running off my engine. ;-)

 

if you were ridelining at 90 in third, then how in the world couldnt he catch up with you? Was he even racing?

 

did i miss something??? the race started at 70mph. i started in 3rd gear maybe the other drive started in 4th i dont know buthe initiated the race i went to like 115 and then let off and he was about 4 car lenghts back. it impossible for me to 115 in 3rd

 

the newer acura was closer but the older one was back there. the older integra is the one that started the race. the new one just happend to be on the other side of me and decided to race along with us

 

i know that when he shifted into 4th i kept pulling in 3rd

 

Was it an RSX?!

 

no man it was a 88-91 acura integra and a 92-94 or 95 integra

 

oh ok good job then mate. im not all for the street races, but whatever floats your boat! just dont kill yourself, or someone else.
