Default Thinking about picking up an si

So next term I am going to be taking a collision repair tech class at the college I am attending and so I was looking for a vehicle I could use as my "assignment car", then I happened to stumble upon this: http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/pts/438362572.html. I contacted the guy and low and behold he actually has done some work on my black civic. So I was talking to him about hom much he would let the car go for and he said $3k everything is still there except for the wheels. So tomorrow I am going to take a look at it. So I want to know what does everyone else think of it? I would end up with a good assignment car to take my CRT class with and then in the end I get a decent 2000 si out of the deal.

I'd Go for it. Looks like the Unibody is bent also if you do that.

i would say 3k is a lil steep especially with the wheels gone but it is definitely a good buy, try to get the price down to 2,500... Either way, I think it is a good buy, especially considering the fact that he thinks he can get 2,500 for the motor, which means it's probably in good conditions... 93k miles on it tho... keep that in mind...

Well its a guy that is friends with the owner of racedezign who did a few things on my civic to do the finishing touches. I actually seen this car up there and before the wreck it was a very nice little car the engine bay was clean. So tomorrow I am driving upto portland to check out this car and hang with me dad but I am highly leaning towards buying it and fixing her up.
