Time to Replace Tires

Time to Replace Tires
I have 60,000 miles on my 06 Civic Coupe and the stock Bridgestone tires have held up well. I wouldn't buy them again, but that is another thread.
One is just at the wear bar and the other 3 are not far behind.
I have always bought Michelin Tires and was looking at the Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires.

Do you think this is overkill?
They come highly recommended and for the highway and city driving I do, I think they would go 80,000 miles with no problem.
Without buying any type of racing tire, what regular tire would you guys suggest?
Also, I am thinking of going to either a 215/55R16, or a 215/60R16. The stock size is 205/55/R16.
Would I have any problems going up one size to a bigger and one size up to a wider tire with the stock factory rims and wheel covers?
Thanks in advance.

You use a tire tread depth gauge to check the tread depth and it is less than 2/32 of an inch, which for most states is the legal limit that defines when a tire is worn out. If you don’t have access to a tire tread depth gauge, you can insert the edge of a coin into the grooves of your tires in several places and observe how much of the coin is covered by the tire.
