Yes, shop around on tirerack.com and treadepot.com to see if you can find any better deals. Both businesses are forum vendors, and I know for a fact Tread Depot is willing to work with HCF members on tire deals.

yes, discount tire is always pricey, but they're always willing to drop the price way down if you know how to haggle/negotiate

that's what i did at first. they have internet there so i had them look up the prices and made them beat it. got them to throw in free mount and balance since it's free if you buy both wheel and tire from them online or from tirerack or most other companies.

but now, i usually just say hook me up with a great deal since i've gotten so many from them, on my last snow tire purchase i got them to bring down the price 95 dollars from 520 to 425 for my s2k

i'll do that next time i go to purchase the rims. for now since i got that guy's insurance, i'll try to get money for the wheels instead of havin them replaced to help me get the wheels i want. i'll look in tirerack.com also...

All I've used for tires is discounttiredirect.com, everything I've seen on their site is cheaper than tire rack, plus tire rack charges for shipping.

But $100 for a rimx4=$400. What tires are you trying to get that cost you a ridiculous $600 for a set?

discount tire direct has those 15" rims at $95 a piece, but you get $50 off from a set, so it's $330 for a set. Tires shouldn't be more than $100 a piece, plus some of their tires you get $50 off.
