Hey everyone,

Well, now there is unfortunately one less Civic roaming the streets. I was on my way home on Valentines Day- fell asleep and started heading off the road... over-corrected and ended up down an embankment off the interstate and hit a tree. Luckily I did not have anybody with me. Somehow I managed to walk away almost unharmed... few scratches and a cut on my head but the Civic kept me safe overall- it was totaled.

This was my daily driver Civic, not the project that my brother and I have been working on.

You closed your eyes for a second too long?

Do you have a safety proven predetermined length of time to close your eyes while driving?

No offence but I'm glad that someone who closes their eyes while driving is off of the road, even if it is temporary.

 

Everyone makes mistakes, too bad it cost you your car. Good to hear you're alright though. I'll light a candle in rememberance for our fellow civic.

 

Happened to me too. Had insomnia and the next day on the hwy I dozed 5 sec and slammed into the car ahead of me wrecking it and causing too much damage to my 95 Grand Caravan. So now anytime I feel sleepy I get off the side of the road and nap instead.

 

Good to hear you're okay... I can't believe you walked away from that car pretty much unharmed...

Too bad about the civic, though.... you plan on getting another one?

I actually did stop and pull over at a rest area to sleep for a while about an hour beforehand. I guess my body was still pretty tired even after the nap. Anytime I'm tired I try to avoid driving but I had to get to class in the morning.

I actually already have another Civic (avatar). Same year and model, just with many hours of work. However, it is my project car. I planned to use the one I wrecked as a daily driver and keep the other one as a weekend car.

 

Wow Bro that was a BRUTAL hit. The good news isyou are OK because just by looking at those pictures things could of been much worserbut it must be weird losing your car. Where just humans and we make some mistakes. Nobody is perfect Bro. SO what what are your plans with your wrecked car...Are you going to part it out and make some cash ????

you have any insurance on it? or is it a total loss?

 

Damn that IS a totaled civic. Glad you walked out of that wreck
