Default transmission reverse problem?

hey guys,

after i got home tonight i noticed that all of a sudden its really hard to put it into reverse and when i do, it like locks up and i cant put it in neutral. its always been sort of tough going into 1st gear and reverse but getting in/out of reverse has never been this bad. i tried putting it back in first, then reverse a few times(like i always do when i go to reverse) but it didnt help. i've looked around online and there seems to be similar cases but i couldnt find any solutions. im thinking its a linkage problem?

this is my DD so if anyone has any input on this id GREATLY appreciate it, thanks!

Do the gears grind when you try to go to reverse? If so the problem is that the clutch is not fully disengaging. Typical reasons for that are the clutch fluid is low or the master cylinder is worn.

Nahh, the clutch is fully disengaged every time I'm pretty sure. It doesn't grind, it just locks up and doesn't want to go in gear. It did start acting up tho on the way home. I had a hard time going into 3rd gear and had to really push hard to get it in, which is very unusual since normally it's really smooth

had a similar problem on my car and it ended up being the pin in the master cylinder. it was bent. MAYBE it's the same problem? granted this was on a different car
