get a grill and everything, rig the hookups to make it look like its propane, im sure their not that educated to look for that, i mean their more or less looking for drugs more than other **** like that. but their not gonna lift up the sub box unless the dogs smell ****,

heres what to do, paint it purple and put a nos sticker on it, say you bought it thinking it was nos, say you were gonna hook it up and autox it, act completely dumb and be like im new to the tuner scene, i dont know what **** looks like, i just seen it said nos so i bought it. lol just act amazingly stupid, tell them your car will be pushin 900 hp once u put nos in it, then they will think you dont know **** and let ya go hahah

If the dogs can't pick up on the scent, what's the worry? Just play it cool man, and maybe go across the border at Otay or Tecate (<-----super nice drive through east county).
It is illegal to manufacture R12 in the US since 12/31/1995. It is NOT illegal to possess and sell it, if you are certified to do so (EPA 609 certification - see below). You can still buy it here in the US, but the price keeps going up as the supply dwindles (since all companies that made it had to stop manufacture on 12/31/1995) last I checked a 30LB cylinder was $995.

If you are worried about being hassled get the A/C refrigerant 609 recycling certificate from ASE or the EPA.

the ASE website (registration required)
http://www.ase.com/Content/Navigatio...nline_Quiz.htm

The fee is $15 and it's an open book test (so it's very easy to pass).

or here at the EPA website for $19
here is the manual
http://www.epatest.com/609/manual/manual.jsp
here is the test
